Road To Recovery

Most of you may or may not know that I recently lost my beloved husband on the night of Christmas Eve, 2014. Even way before that, I haven't been blogging as much as I used to. I've been so occupied with my family. After my husband's passing, I needed to get away from it all. I feel I've vented enough to my friends but still have more to say. I just don't know how to say it without being a burden to anyone. This is why I decided to come back. I want to vent and I won't have to worry about who I vent to or who might read it because, it's your choice as long as I get to let it all out.

It was unfortunate and very unexpected. For those who are curious to know how he passed, I will not give out that information. If you already know, please keep that amongst yourselves. My family has gone through enough heightened emotions and stress. Depression was what I suffered with for a bit. But I did not let that overpower me for I have two beautiful children my husband left for me to raise.

Am I coping well? Yes. I've talked to a few young women like myself who has gone through the same situation in losing their significant other. It helps ease the pain sharing stories and knowing I'm definitely not the only one. Majority of supportive friends and family have told me to live out each day, keep myself occupied, and look towards the future. Of course, I will never forget about my husband. He will always be my reason for living. If he were to see me sad, I know he'd tell me "Stop. I'm fine. Don't worry about me and worry about yourself. Stay happy especially for me and the kids." I know my husband well enough that I can already hear him saying it.

I've been keeping myself occupied, thank goodness! I got to leave the island twice to Guam. A week full of personal shopping on January, then three days worth of home decor shopping! Can't forget about the kids! I sure bought a whole lot of toys for them. I did buy ourselves a new house. That was both exciting and stressful. Then, another vehicle. I made quite a few great investments. Most of which my husband has planned from the beginning. I'm living it out for him. I'm glad I get to.

The moving process is always stressful! I'm relieved we're almost done. Only thing left is to take everything out of their boxes and put them in their place. I can't wait to rest my head well after all has been settled with. I always tell myself that my beloved husband was the person who made all this possible... did I buy the house? No. My husband did. He still manages to make me happy regardless if he were here physically or spiritually. I will always love that man... I'm proud to call myself a military spouse.

I will be posting more in the future with all the time I have on my hands. Thank you for stopping by!

Freebie Friday and more!

Hi, guys! It's Free Friday! I barely do this, so I wanted to get back to you guys with another fun post! If you want to spike up your Instagram photos with some cool filters but still don't know how to go about it, I highly recommend following @thequeenoffilters on Instagram! She has a HUGE selection of cool filters to choose from! I enjoy her page. Especially if I feel a little uninspired and a little lost on what type of filter I should use for a photo I want to share. Some of the apps and filters used, do cost money. Magic Hour is also a great app to try with FREE filters! I love it but, my only problem is the resolution when it's saved onto the camera roll. *cries*

Anyway! Let's get down to the other stuff, shall we? In case you're all wondering, I still have no working phone and/or a camera. I had to use my mom's iPhone for the photos. It sucks, for now. I'll get through it for another week. Yup! My replacement screen will be in by next week! Super excited!

I'm too much in love with Glade's candle wax heater and wax melts! I suggest buying this if you love scented candles but also don't want to light one up. If there aren't any great scents that I want, I'd sacrifice one fave candle of mine and scoop out the wax! It's honestly worth it if you want a nice smelling atmosphere. GET ONE!!

I'm an IG shopper. A somewhat quite-obsessed one. I forgot what it's like to shop on an actual online store! Well, for my mini haul, I purchase brand new Apple ear pods! I heard they retail for a lot more than what I got them for. It only costed me $8!

Brandy stickers! I LOVE THEM! I collect so much! I know most of you are like, "They're free. Why spend a dollar or more a piece??" Well, it's easy for you to say. I live on an island where a Brandy store isn't an option to shop at because we have none. Yes, really sad. I order off of Brandy through a friend of mine. It's such a convenient. A lot of girls here wonder how I get it shipped to me from the site since Brandy can't ship here through USPS. It's complicated to explain the situation with UPS on our island. It's available, but to companies, only...

I think I own way too many Brandy necklaces! I have a jewelry hanger filled with BM necklaces! This one isn't appropriate but, come on! It's adorable! I really couldn't pass this up. Best believe, though, I'll be ordering a lot more jewelry from BM! I hate that it's not such a reliable long-wear type of accessory. The colors tarnish over a few uses. Oh, Brandy...

Well, this concludes my post for the day! I had gym at 5:30am. I always do on weekdays. I'm tired and I really need to rest from the five mornings spent at the gym. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this post along with the awesome freeb! XOXO

October 7, 2014

hiatus? over.

Hi, guys! I've missed this place, a lot. So much has happened throughout the time I've been gone. Mainly, I sold my camera... I know. It sucks A LOT. I will be using my iPhone for my photos, once again, just like how I started out. I would say my photography skills has heightened to a better level. I really didn't think I would come back. I was gone for so long that I hadn't noticed my custom domain name had expired! I'll probably buy it back if I remember to. I don't mind the URL, right now, too.

I probably won't be posting anything good, quite yet. My phone is actually busted. So bad. Not only is the screen cracked, it fell off, as well. Having children and leaving your phone around is really a HUGE no no. I ordered a replacement screen! But also, I'm getting the iPhone 6! Yeah, I'm just going to sell my iPhone 5 after it's been fixed and ready to go! I hope the 6 is as good as they say! I'm really excited for it!

I'll invest in a new DLSR or maybe a compact DSLR in the future. I don't want to be using a phone for my photos, frequently... Anyway, I gotta leave off here! So much to accomplish in so little time! I apologize with not letting you all in on what's been going on with me. Let's skip that and wait for more exciting posts! Love you, all!!! XOXO.

Tiny Collective Haul

Yup! Another collective haul post! You can say I shop a lot, though, only a little. It's not a lot I'm sharing. Just a few things. I couldn't wait for my last package to come so, I decided to just post this! Hope you'll enjoy the post, anyway!
I've been eyeing this cute, dressy romper with a nice lace/crochet trim for quite a bit after the first time I laid eyes upon it! It has been my favorite, ever since! I adore styles like it. Afterwards, my husband and I got  few new gym attire. They're really expensive when they're brand-named... Oh well, quality is always best!

My first package from Amazon had arrived! I was excited it came in so quickly! Although, I did have my doubts.

This brush set is amazing! The bristles are all so soft and stray away from that poking feeling you'd get from brushes that aren't so great. I only got this 22 piece brush set for $34.81. Interested? Click here!

I didn't get to try these, yet! In all honesty, I purchased this along with the brushes only for my freelancing. After I fell in love with the brushes, I might fall in love with these! But, I'm not so big of a fan of the whole eyeshadow gig. We'll see. I purchased these for $25.99! Interested? Click here!

I've been dying to try out the Bahama Mama bronzer by The Balm! I've tried a few bronzers and have not fully come to a close with the best one until this! Also, I'm a little on the tan side, naturally so, the color was perfect! Made contouring easy and natural-looking. I'm indeed satisfied with this. I purchased this awesome thing for $11.57! Interested? Click here!

I'm pretty much satisfied with my purchase from Amazon. I have no clue why I didn't shop there, earlier! I'll have another post up as soon as my next package arrives from my fave shop, Eyecandys.com! Enjoy the rest of your day/night!

Mini purchases of the day!

Yup, spoiled myself a little, again, today! Nothing big, though. I found a cute tropical themed blouse and a dress that looked similar to the ones from Brandy Melville! I love it so much! Also, I needed a base coat! I've been painting my nails without one. Thank goodness for the memory, I've got one! That's all for now! Hope you enjoyed this post!

Reg/Thrift Haul 2014

I did some major shopping, yesterday and today! I had so much fun spoiling myself. I haven't done this in such a long time, especially because of all the weight I had on which, somewhat stopped me from feeling pretty. Thank goodness for hard work and motivation to get fit and STAY fit! So, onto the post: Yesterday, I visited local boutique that I haven't got to in awhile. I'm satisfied with my purchases, though, not the price. Stores, these days, can get pretty pricey. For everything I bought, cost me about $140. I wish clothing cost a dollar each!!!

In other news, I'm still happy despite the prices. They were all cute finds! I'd order off online but, I lost interest in it. Not so exciting, anymore. Plus, most of these clothing, I saw online! If you enjoy posts like these, hauls, you'll be glad to know that I'll be posting more, soon!!! Even I get excited about these things!
Eight items! Not bad...

BURGUNDY!!! I love this cardi!

I'm in love with this dress! I was happy as ever to come across it!

Daisies are everywhere!!! Had to have this top!

I got two of the same tops because they are too adorable to pass up!

Yeah, living on an island, you'd be obsessed with shorts. Especially, if they're sooo cute!

THRIFT HAUL, YEAH!!!! This is exciting for me! I've never "thrifted" before! I finally got too and had way too much fun! SO CHEAP AND ADORABLE!!! WHAT?!

Usually, one bangle would cost me $12... yeah. I got all four for $16. A steal!

I can't stop obsessing over these!

I adore tropical prints and still have a love for adorable bustiers, bandeaus, and bralettes!

Who can pass up on cute rompers such as these, really?

I love me some denim!

I see a lot of potential in this! I think its just awesome, cute, and cozy!

Well, that's my post for the night! Hope you all enjoyed yourself! Expect more, later!
